To friends, colleagues and progressives in Japan

It is with great joy that I heard of a new dynamic initiative aiming to change the politics of Japan. The Rose-Mark Seal Campaign aims at motivating candidates running for political office – for example those contesting the forthcoming local elections in April and then the Council elections next July – to embrace progressive, anti-austerity policies. On behalf of DiEM25 and the Progressive International, I applaud the Rose-Mark Seal Campaign and wish you all the best.

Japanese progressives are beginning to be heard: Austerity is never a good idea, even in a country with a 240% debt to GDP ratio. https://t.co/9kCHrImNv0
